The ESP32-GRBL control board’s module uses the onboard antenna by default, and its signal strength is sufficient for most customers’ needs.
If your connection distance is relatively long, you can purchase a Wi-Fi antenna and use an external antenna. You will need to relocate the selection resistor as shown in the illustration below.
For the Wi-Fi antenna, choose a Gen 1 IPEX (1.13 cable) connector to ensure a proper fit. The higher the dBi, the better.
